Thomas stared at the tall, curved walls that surrounded him. He was lost in a valley of tall stone towers that shot into the sky like jagged spears. There had to be hundreds of them, making it difficult to see under the blue sky above.         “You have got to be kidding me,” said Jeremy from behind him. “We walked all this way and you brought us back to Vortex Point?”

“I don’t know,” said Thomas, shrugging his shoulders with a hint of frustration on his face beneath the bandanna he wore over his nose and mouth. His eyes were wide beneath his cowboy hat as he gazed around himself in amazement.

Create an enemy that shoots at the player and moves around:

It was like one of those old spaghetti western films Jeremy liked to watch, Thomas thought to himself as he gazed around at what used to be the small desert town named Vortex Point. He tightened his grip on the rifle in his hands, which he had found leaning against an empty glass bottle from some saloon from inside the general store they had been hiding inside for over fifteen minutes now.

“We have got to keep moving,” said Thomas as he began walking through the main street of the town with Jeremy following him closely behind with a handgun equipped in each hand.

“You’re right, let’s go!” said Jeremy as he finished his sentence before ducking behind a barrel of pickles that had been knocked off the shelf at the general store.

Thomas was not listening to him though. His attention was on the three men who were chasing after them from down the street firing their six-shooters non-stop at them. Thomas peered around for cover for just a few seconds until spotting an abandoned mine entrance with some wooden planks leaning against it. “Over here! Over here!” shouted Thomas as he motioned Jeremy over behind some crates that were stacked up near the entrance to the underground mine shaft.

The men chasing them continued firing their weapons at Thomas and Jeremy until they were out of sight. The three bandits all gathered together and stood in a circle about twenty paces from the mine entrance and looked down at their guns, inspecting them for damage to make sure they were still functional. They shook the sticks back into place that had been knocked loose while running through alleyways and on rooftops after Thomas and Jeremy earlier that day before returning their guns to holsters around their waists.

Then one of the bandits took his gun back out again, aimed it at the mine entrance where he thought Thomas was hiding behind, but he never fired it as three loud shots rang outshooting him dead center in each eye with what sounded like.
